Because of this issue, it’s recommended that you get a large box, even if you have a growing cat because you won’t have to buy multiple. Especially when it comes to length. This litter box also has sides that even a large cat should not paw at. A large stainless steel cat litter box is excellent because the base isn’t as wobbly when you move the box. I’ve had horror experiences when I accidentally dumped my plastic litter boxes. This litter box is also great for those with a multi-cat household. More space means you won’t have to change your litter box every couple of hours.
